Default Is it sleeping disorder or not?

Do you like to sleep with the lights on? I do! As long as the lights aren't too glaring. I keep a lamp beside my bed, and I keep the lights on the whole night. Is is a bad habit or it is a disorder?

I don't know that it's either unless the light is bothering someone else. Is there a reason you keep the lights on that you've been able to pinpoint? It could just be a psychological need to not be in the dark because of a childhood phobia that was never overcome.

Default Its nto a a disrder by any means

after all the reading I have been doing in teh Journals its not areal disorder perse'.
some develope it because of security reasons, some just need it as part of heir sleep process, others leave the light on so they dont bump or fall into things. Darkness sis a bio naturalization from our ancestor days when its dark you cant do much. Some say leaving teh light one is disruptive and signals activity. Others whio live with light during extended periods like in Alaska need the light on during certain times of the year.

I need some sort of night light on so I don't fall when i trod of to the kitchen for my insulin or the bathroom.

Now when i was little we had some problems and I used ot have the light one, but TV light was just fine.

Its no big deal for me, so if you need one, I say get one that you like.

I don't think it is a disorder, just your sleeping habit. Some people prefer to sleep in the dark, and others want to have at least some light on. Whatever is comfortable for you.

This is not a disorder. This is your perception on sleep. Many people have such perceptions about sleep. Some people would like to have pillows near their legs rather than at head.

I wouldn't think that this is a disorder. It is probably just habit to you. Can you sleep with the lights off too?
I don't see how anyone can sleep with lights on. I like it dark when I sleep.
