Default Sleepwalking and sense of hearing

I’ve been wondering about this for some time now. Can a person who sleepwalks hear at the same time? Or is it that they hear something not in their physical surroundings? They’re sort of in a trance and not conscious of their actions. I’m intrigued and would like to know a person’s sense of hearing while sleepwalking. Most people who experience this don’t remember anything at all but is there a possibility that they heard something different during the time they were asleep and sleepwalked? I tried to research on this on the internet but can’t seem to get a clear answer.
