How on earth is it that Nyquil can help you get to sleep when it is loaded with the stimulant p-ephdrin? You would think it would have the opposite effect!

It affects the CNS system, while the stimulent is similar to adrenalin its more ins a suppression family> It just teeters on the boarder.
The elevation in epinephrines causes an opposite reaction n the system, like after running and your adrenalin is high you get real sleepy afterwards. Chemically that is what nyquil and its ingredients do. |

It also is 25% alcohol--so of course it is going to make you sleepy. It is also considered a depressant.

It does have the opposite affect for me,even with the alcohol with it,maybe I have a high tolerance or something. Now I can take a day quil and be out like a light. Maybe I should just take the meds differently then others, does anyone know what is in day quil?
